Oriana Fallaci Oriana Fallaci was an Italian journalist, activist, and writer. She was Italy's first female war correspondent and one of the most important reporters in the world. Fallaci's journalistic career was characterized by his way of interviewing. His direct, rough and often uncomfortable mode caused many dislikes. She was impertinent, rude and annoying to her interlocutors, but still many wanted to be interviewed by her. The list of personalities he interviewed is endless and varied: Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Scorsese, Frank Sinatra, Yasir Arafat, Henry Kissinger, Gold Meir o Bob Kennedy. As the writer of twelve books, she told twenty million copies worldwide; As a journalist he gained great international prestige, especially for its quality of interviews. I admire Oriana Fallaci for everything she achieved as a female journalist at the time. She changed journalism, since she dared to question all the powerful, demonstrating, through the weak point, that who exercises pow...

The story of a picture

Imagen
My favorite photograph is one of my dog named Lupe who is in puppy heaven right now.  This photo means a lot to me because she was looking at me with eyes, which in my opinion, showed all the love she felt for me. I see that picture and it gives me a lot of peace, but at the same time a lot of sorrow because I miss it a lot. In addition to having the special meaning that I mentioned, for me it is important because it is the reflection of our love, for my eyes shone in the same way every time I saw her and hugged her. I took this picture before leaving home. Whenever I was going out for many hours I gave him a lot of love and reminded him out loud that I was going to be outside for a while but that I was going to come back, so that he wouldn't miss me so much. That's it, see you in a next post! <3

My favorite piece of technology

Imagen
My favorite piece of technology is my new computer. I used to hate this piece because my old computer was very slow and made me very angry, especially when I had to do fast things. It took more than half an hour to turn on, so I tried to use it as little as possible. But thanks to my grandmother I was able to acquire it at the beginning of this year and I love it, I use it for practically everything, from listening to music, talking by video calls with my family who are far away, using my social networks, to doing all the university work. I think it affected my life in a positive way because it was really something I needed a lot, I feel that it made my life much easier and saved time. I really recommend it, it’s expensive but it’s quite an investment, especially in the time of college. That's it, see you in a next post! <3

Why did I choose my major?

Imagen
I study journalism, I’m in my second year. The truth is that I chose this career at the last minute when I had to apply for an option. It was an impulse. At no point in my life did I really know what I wanted, I was passionate about nothing. I always did well in school subjects, but I never got anything interested. My family used to say to study medicine and I was convinced of that, but in the last year of high school I changed the option completely to the career of law. I was convinced, but when I had to apply, I was scared and regretted it. I chose journalism because I am good at communicating and I feel that this career provides many tools for my future, to be able to leave the country and be a freesoul haha. My experience in university has not been good because I have lived things that I do not recommend to anyone, however, right now I am surrounded by good people whom I call friends. That's it, see you in a next post! <3

Who Am I?

Imagen
Hi! My name is Jade Saavedra, I am 19 years old. I was born in the north of Chile, in Arica, more than 2000 km from the capital.  Arica is not the prettiest city in the world, but it has its own beauty. It has places that are not in any city. I lived my whole life in my comfort zone. I always went to the same school and was surrounded by the same people, but when I entered to study at the university, I had to leave everything I had and come to live in Santiago completely alone away from my family and my comfort.  Thinking about my life there, I lived with my mom, my grandmother and my dog named Lupe who was my best friend always but last year left for the heaven of the puppies. I love her and miss her so much. At the moment studying journalism at the University of Chile, it is not something I love with all my heart, but it gives me tools to enjoy life as I want in the future. That's it, see you in a next post! <3
